You heard correctly, we're on for 2018!
We saw such an excellent display of paper mastery last year!
We can’t wait to see the folding and flying skills of Australian students in 2018.
So it’s time to stockpile your paper and start practicing your designs.
Watch the video on how to enter now!
The best thing about this competition is that any Australian student from K-6 can enter. That means if you're in city, the outback or even on an island, you're welcome to take part.
That is, as long as you love Paper Planes, Aeroplane Jelly and winning awesome prizes.
There's loads of great information on the 'Get Started' page and the steps on how to enter below in the 'Submit your entry' section.
1. Check with Mum or Dad if it's OK to enter
2. Get them to help you shoot a video showing us how to fold and throw your own unique plane design in 90 seconds or less (A4 paper only)
3. Upload your video to this page giving your plane an awesome name (.Avi, .MPEG, iPhone/Smartphone, .WMV or .Mov files)
Videos will be judged on the most innovative, creative and awesome plane designs so you must be creative, impressive and your plane must be ready to fly! Dylan from the Paper Pilots is helping judge the best planes and will actually make and test the top flyers just to make sure they're the best planes around!
The best entries in each state will be selected from age group categories (Prep/K to Grade 2; Grade 3 & Grade 4; and Grade 5 & Grade 6), but the cool thing is that the national prize is open to all age groups. Check out the 'Past Winners' from last year and you'll start to see why it was so hard to judge! What a wile ride that was. Up, up and away!
This year we're also running an Exhibition Category for all those pilots who might be outside of the prize eligible age groups. Although you won't be able to win the competition, it doesn't make it any less fun to send us your video as a demonstration entry! We can't wait to see what our older pilots have got for us!
